Building an online store from scratch: a fabrics and materials shop

Building a site from scratch is not about code. It is about catalogue structure, products and payments. A live example of an automotive fabrics shop launched in one week.

"Where am I losing money right now?": the AI assistant finds unpaid and unshipped orders and abandoned carts for you

We taught the Turboshop AI assistant to answer a store owner's most expensive question. It checks orders and carts against seven rules — paid but not processed, failed or unfinished online payment, refused parcel, not shipped on time, refund, abandoned cart — and lists them from the largest amount, with a concrete action for each row.

What is MCP (Model Context Protocol) in plain words, and why an online store needs it

MCP is an open standard that lets Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants connect to your systems: store, CRM, warehouse. We explain without jargon how an MCP server works, how it differs from a regular API, what risks home-made connections carry and what a store owner should look for.

An AI assistant for your online store: ask Claude or ChatGPT about sales, stock and orders in plain language

Turboshop is one of the first Ukrainian e-commerce platforms with an official MCP server: we connected the store to Claude and ChatGPT right from the platform. Ask "how much did we make this week?" or "what is about to run out?" and the assistant reads the store reports and answers in a minute. Read-only, customer personal data masked, off until you allow it.

Engaged guest: a personal promo code for someone who browsed several pages and is still hesitating

We built the "Engaged guest" widget so your store stops losing its warmest audience: it counts pages per session and after a set number offers to sign up and get a personal single-use promo code for the first order. We have already created the system "First order −10 %" promotion in every store.

Shopify in Ukraine or Turboshop (and what about WooCommerce and OpenCart)

We at Turboshop compared Shopify in Ukraine with our own platform honestly: euro plans versus a hryvnia subscription, Nova Poshta and marketplaces out of the box versus third-party apps, B2B, inventory, migration. Plus a separate look at what the “free” WooCommerce and OpenCart really cost in total.

Product search tags: how we taught the storefront to find "laptop", "kicks" and "windbreaker" when the names say otherwise

We at Turboshop added "Search tags" to products: service synonyms buyers actually type, but which never appear in the product name or description, such as slang, transliteration or a model name without the brand. Tags are invisible on the storefront, yet search finds the product by them and ranks it above name matches. A dedicated "Product tags" section, suggestions in the product card, a list filter and an API field for accounting systems.

Exit-intent "Retention" popup: how we give your store the last word when a shopper closes the tab

We at Turboshop built the "Retention (exit-intent)" widget so that a visitor moving the cursor to close the tab, or scrolling up sharply on a phone, hears your last argument: a promo code for signing up or a reminder about a non-empty cart with the total and a return button. We have already created the COMEBACK5 −5 % code for you.

Shop-Express vs Turboshop: an honest comparison of pricing, limits and features

We at Turboshop put Shop-Express and our own platform side by side, plan by plan: annual pricing, product limits, marketplaces, B2B, API, inventory and CRM. We say plainly where Shop-Express is the better deal, where the extra cost of Turboshop pays off, and which stores should pick which platform.

Ordering for someone else: how we built the "other recipient" option at checkout and why it boosts gift sales

We at Turboshop added one checkbox to checkout: "Specify another recipient". The buyer orders and pays, while the parcel goes to their mum, a colleague or a client. The recipient is visible to the manager in the order card, appears in emails and Telegram, and is filled into the Nova Poshta waybill automatically.

Email on add to cart: how we turn the first item in the cart into a contact and a promo code

We at Turboshop built the "Email on add to cart" widget so that the warmest moment of a visit — the first item in the cart — does not vanish with a closed tab: the shopper leaves an email, the cart is saved, and a personal first-order promo code arrives by email. Two steps, protection against address enumeration and a system −10 % promotion out of the box.

Announcement bar above the header: why we built it first and what it does for your sales

We at Turboshop built the "Announcement bar" widget so that your main offer — a promotion, free shipping, a new collection — is visible on every page, not just the home page: up to three messages with links, three display templates, an honest countdown to a date and a schedule that switches the promotion on and off by itself.
